Senior Sales Associate Shantora Flowers started her career as a senior assistant buyer for a major retail store. In 2007, Shantora transitioned to the banking industry, and she spent the last six years working as an assistant vice president, treasury sales analyst. Shantora joined Synovus in 2019.
Why did you decide to join Synovus?
To be completely honest, it was not an easy decision. I’d been at my previous bank for 12 years, and even though I was stressed and overworked, I didn’t have a clear path for career progression. I’d also gotten comfortable in the chaos. After many discussions with my husband and prayers, I decided not to pass up the opportunity to be a part of the transformation that the Treasury and Payment Solutions team presented to me. I wanted to feel like I was a part of building something here at Synovus, and I have not been disappointed.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy analyzing the customer relationship and working with my sales officer to look for ways to help our customers be more efficient and improve cash flow.

I think it’s important to give back because it shows our communities that Synovus cares.
