Accelerated banker program

This 12-month fast track is a comprehensive development program with opportunities that combine structured training and on-the-job experience.  Training for the Accelerated Banker program happens at corporate headquarters in Columbus, Georgia.  Once you complete training, your final placement can be anywhere within our five-state footprint.

Through this program you’ll build meaningful connections, gain exposure to leadership and graduate positioned for a rewarding Synovus career.

Qualifications

  • Graduating senior or a recent graduate (within the last three years)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or 1 year of Synovus experience and referral by a current Synovus leader
  • Degree in business, finance, accounting, liberal arts or other line of business specific degree
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and committed learner
  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate across the five-state footprint
Credit track
This path focuses on problem solving and producing business insights. 
Here you’ll develop underwriting skills so you can analyze medium to large scale lending opportunities.

On this path you’ll work in a client-facing role and develop your management skills.  You’ll receive specialized, hands-on training that’ll prepare you to serve consumer and small business clients and lead a sales team.

Corporate summer internship program

You’re a high-performing upcoming junior or senior who can’t wait for a real work experience.
Spend a summer getting to know us.  In our 10-week hands-on program, you’ll gain relevant skills that go beyond the classroom.  You’ll participate in and lead business projects, connecting with stakeholders throughout our footprint as you become an integral part of the team.  And we promise, no coffee runs.  Unless you’re getting coffee for yourself, which is more than encouraged.
